Featured Health & Safety Courses
The courses employers ask for most — with full course breakdowns and detailed guides.
Asbestos Awareness
Recognise the risks associated with asbestos in buildings and understand safe working practices to protect yourself and others. This course covers the different types of asbestos, where it is commonly found in buildings, the serious health risks of exposure, legal duties under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, and what to do if you suspect or discover asbestos-containing materials.
Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
Understand how to identify, assess, and control exposure to hazardous substances in the workplace with this CPD accredited COSHH training course. The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 (COSHH) place a legal duty on employers to protect employees from the health risks associated with hazardous substances, and this course ensures that staff at all levels understand their responsibilities. You will learn about the different types of hazardous substances you may encounter at work — including chemicals, dust, fumes, vapours, and biological agents — and the health effects that exposure can cause, from skin irritation and respiratory conditions to long-term occupational diseases. The course covers how to carry out COSHH risk assessments, understand workplace exposure limits, select and use appropriate control measures including personal protective equipment (PPE), and follow correct procedures for the safe storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous materials. You will also learn about the requirements for health surveillance and the importance of maintaining accurate records. COSHH training is relevant across a wide range of industries including hospitality, healthcare, cleaning, manufacturing, construction, and laboratory work. Upon completion, you will receive a CPD accredited certificate that demonstrates your competence in managing hazardous substance risks — recognised by employers and health and safety inspectors across the UK.
Display Screen Equipment
Understand the risks of prolonged DSE use and learn how to set up your workstation correctly to prevent discomfort and injury. This course covers the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992, how to carry out a DSE workstation assessment, correct posture and seating position, screen and keyboard placement, and the importance of regular breaks.
Driver Awareness
Improve your road safety knowledge with guidance on safe driving practices, vehicle checks, and managing the risks of driving for work. This course covers occupational road risk, driver fitness and fatigue, daily vehicle safety checks, journey planning, and the legal responsibilities of both employers and employees when driving forms part of the working day.

Health & Safety Training FAQ
Under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, employers must provide adequate health and safety training for all employees. This includes induction training for new starters, specific training for identified risks (such as manual handling, fire safety, or working at height), and refresher training when risks change. The exact courses depend on your workplace, but Fire Safety and Manual Handling are required in almost every setting.
Yes. The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires the responsible person in every workplace to ensure that employees receive adequate fire safety training. This includes fire prevention, evacuation procedures, and the use of fire extinguishers. Training should be provided at induction and repeated regularly — most employers refresh fire safety training annually.
There is no single legal timeframe that applies to all courses, but most health and safety best practice recommends annual refresher training. Fire Safety and Manual Handling are typically renewed every 1-2 years. First Aid certificates must be renewed every 3 years. COSHH training should be refreshed whenever new substances are introduced. Our platform gives you 12 months of access, so you can complete refreshers whenever needed.
COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) training covers the identification, handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous substances in the workplace. You will learn about risk assessments, safety data sheets, personal protective equipment, emergency procedures, and your legal obligations under the COSHH Regulations 2002. It is essential for anyone working with chemicals, cleaning products, or biological agents.
The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 require employers to avoid hazardous manual handling where possible, assess risks that cannot be avoided, and reduce the risk of injury. While the regulations do not specifically mandate a certificate, employers must ensure workers are trained in safe lifting techniques. In practice, most employers require manual handling training for any role involving lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling.
